How this calculator works
The calculator reproduces the renovation matrix from our bathroom renovation cost guide — four bathroom types priced at three specification levels, adjusted by a regional labour multiplier (Midlands = baseline). It returns the published low–high band for your combination, not a false single figure. Strip-out, first and second fix, tiling and making good are inside the ranges; structural work and moving soil stacks are not. Two things reliably push a real bathroom quote to the top of its band or past it: hidden condition once the old suite is out — rot, failed waste runs, walls that aren't flat — and any change to the layout, because moving the soil stack or the drainage is a far bigger job than swapping like for like.
