How this calculator works
Wrapping applies a vinyl film over the doors you already have. Nothing is replaced, so at £900–£2,500 it undercuts new doors (£1,000–£3,000) and a new kitchen (£5,000–£15,000+) — and it is the only one of the three that is finished in two or three days.
The catch is the surface. Film follows what is underneath: a swollen edge or a chip telegraphs straight through. On sound, smooth doors it looks genuinely convincing; on tired ones it looks like a wrapped tired kitchen.
Worktops: they can be wrapped, and it is the part that fails first. Heat and knives go through film. Treat a wrapped worktop as a two-to-three year fix, not a five-year one.

Kitchen wrapping calculator FAQs
Five to eight years on doors if it is looked after, less around the handles and the kettle where hands and steam do the damage. A wrapped worktop is a two-to-three year fix at best.

Only if the surfaces are smooth and sound. Film follows the surface underneath — swollen chipboard, chipped edges and deep textures all show through. Handleless and flat slab doors wrap best.
A good wrapper takes the handles off, wraps, then refits — which is why the edges last. If a quote is wrapping around fitted handles, expect the film to lift there first.
